What has been the activity of the new deputies on the X plateform?
The elections have given their verdict with the appointment of 158 new deputies. At Follaw, we are already operational with the entirety of their publications on the social network X since January 1, 2023. It’s a great opportunity to take an overall look at their activity!
The new deputies on X
It must be said that quite a few of them don’t really have established connections or a well-developed account. This is evident from the isolated points compared to the others. (Which means they do not follow any other deputies.) Note the prominent positions of Laurent Wauquiez and François Hollande, who are by far the most followed.

Adding these newcomers to the existing ones gives us 448 authors active on X out of 577. And the activity on X is mainly driven by RN and LFI deputies:

Next, looking at the real impression makers on X by group (with the caveat that groups are not yet fully formed, which explains why Wauquiez with 6M impressions and Hollande with 8M impressions are not in these rankings), here are the top 5:
Noteworthy are the extremely high numbers for La France Insoumise, the low numbers for Renaissance, and Marine Le Pen’s first place.
