It all started with a fairly widespread rumour in Paris that Macron was gay and in a relationship with Gallet, the chairman of Radio France. The rumour has been hinted at by members of the Patriosphere on a fairly daily basis for a long time, and it is going to gain momentum as time goes by. I begin my account on 24 January with this tweet, which illustrates the climate of innuendo on Twitter:

And this one also appears in 'comments' on articles about him:

Also circulating is an old tweet screenshotting an SMS platform explaining a story that Closer had been censored when the magazine was about to publish a photograph of Gallet and Macron, hand in hand.

From then on, all the old news came out with a new 'look'.

The patriosphere will then do what it has always done: go in search of clues that will substantiate the rumour and highlight the 'disturbing' facts:

The request will even be made directly to Closer:

Another habit of the patriosphere: network convergence. Network bridges" are being informed, something that is obvious when you look at the spread of tweets: (Point FrDeSouche that comes up)

The first big tweet then occurred, reaching no fewer than 580 retweets:

The rumours even took a turn for the worse, as conversations even revealed *Scoop* that he was no longer with Gallet, but with Lambert:

And if, on top of all that, we notice that Closer is deleting web pages:

The whole thing will then make the candidate come out publicly about the rumour:

This will alert the daily and weekly press:

All it took was 10,327 tweets from the patriosphere to get a candidate talking about a rumour that had been circulating for a long time, but had never been mentioned before.

After Ali Juppé, the patriosphere succeeded in getting a candidate to react, a sign that the mechanism is working. When can we expect the next one?
