InteractionSeeds: Where arts connects science and citizens
The Brief
Coordinated by Dovel Technologies and Greenovate! Europe, InteractionSeeds is a Horizon Europe project aimed at bridging the gap between science and art to make scientific research more accessible and engaging for the general public. The project brings together researchers, artists, and citizens around initiatives that use art to enhance critical thinking and knowledge dissemination.
The role of Saper Vedere? To design a website for the project that aligns with its visual identity and serves as a source of inspiration for any stakeholder wishing to engage citizens through artistic initiatives.
Proposed solution
In charge of the project, our Design & Creation hub carried out its work in three parts: creating a “coming soon” page, designing mockups on Figma, and developing the back-end and front-end of the final site.
The most important part of the site, the Seed Repository, is a database of initiatives led by various stakeholders involved in the project or external to it. A form allows site visitors to submit their own initiatives to be included in the repository.
Result and impact
The InteractionSeeds website leverages the project’s vibrant visual identity while incorporating elements of the logo to create a design that is both visually appealing, minimalist, and artistically inspired. The overall design features a fluid and unexpected graphic style, breaking away from traditional grid-based layouts while keeping them subtly in the background for optimal mobile results.
The site also serves as a unique source of information for stakeholders, highlighting the project’s progress, the repository as a source of inspiration, and providing a set of recommendations for individuals adopting these solutions, ensuring they can easily adapt them to various cultural and societal contexts.
